Having some thoughts about the future I've not maxed the 44 out even I know.
Wondering what would give a noticeable improvement mainly in top end HP. I don't figure the car will ever see sticky tires unless you consider Nitto drag radials sticky since those are my next tire plan 275/50 fwiw. I like that press in the seat power while passing etc. Without really sticky tires low end power is a waste anyway.
Not looking to change stall either .

So if you've run the 44 out it's safe for us to assume your car traps at least 118mph in the quarter. If you want to get more mass flow you could go with more turbo and further increase the boost to pick up "top end". A cast 60-1 with a larger ex wheel is the best value for the $. There are other more expensive options. Don't expect much unless you are planning on increasing the manifold pressure beyond where you already have it.

I doubt I'm even close my iPod app says about 400 fwhp . I think it predicted about 110 in the 1/4 too fwiw... I may get track the car this fall and see for sure. I'd like to get to low 120s to hang with the quick new cars one day. I need to stay low maintenance so I was figuring about 25-26 psi was it for boost on pump gas and alky . I pocket ported the heads with help from guys here hoping that makes it easier.

You will be running it with the wastegate 100% closed in good air with near zero converter slip to get low 120's out of it. Probably not going to see more than 119mph if your converter slip is more than 5% out the back.

Guess I'll see what it does this fall.
Hope to get a dyno tune in before then and get some numbers on convert slip.
So far I love the 9.5 redneck converter.
About 2100 rpm cruise at 60 mph and instant spool .

a noticeable improvement in topend would be to raise the boost and adjust timing,on a stock motor, stock turbo,or a 44 or bigger 20-21psi you wont see a difference.

If you have not yet maxxed your TE44, then you won't notice any difference. The biggest improvement to the top end you can do at this point is crank up your TE44 until you are seeing 25psi or better. What kind of boost are you running now?

It is set for about 21-22, but it jumps to 24 or so initially when I floor it .
Have been a bit scared to go higher without more fuel pump.
I have checked it with a pressure gauge and it is currently keep up.

As bison mentioned, boost doesn't kill motors, but a bad fuel pump while under boost will. If it's keeping up the pressure now though, you're fine. Duty cycle on the injectors needs to be watched. I'm mobile and can't see your sig. So you have bigger than stock injectors? If so, with alky, you should be fine, should.

Someone else will need to chime in but I know 60s are good for 120mph in the 1/4 w/ alky ;). Will 42's make it there? Anyone?
Yes and 60's will go 140mph with alky

Damn! I was thinking I needed 80s with the new motor, but that is not the case. I probably should get a logger and not just my SM at that point though and watch duty cycle myself. I like the simplicity of the SM though, so maybe I'll just keep doing what I do.

Good info to know.

Thanks.

i went 125mph on 42's and duel nozzle (m10) on a ta49 on a stock motor (ported stock head).new combo goes much faster and has 60's and m10 m15,volts and fuel pump must be there.pulling plugs and using a wideband i feel is important.my car hasnt leaned out even with 30lbs of boost on a billet 64 turbo.

Dual Nozzle?

At least 25 gph nozzle with alky control pump. Fwiw I suggest staying single 15gph nozzle till the car is making enough power to trap 130mph. Then add a 10gph. Over 135mph 30gph. Pump output will be a big variable when trying to compare

Anything over 125ish needs dual nozzle as I understand it.

I run a single 15# hollow core nozzle with 80# injectors, trapping 132 @5750 RPM. IDC is 80.9 at 25#'s of boost. DW 300 pump and BAP at 50% voltage increase.

Changed tune and it appears to be better. Hope to find out how much better Friday night, weather permitting.
