Purchased a TE-60 off a excellent board member, now the engine stumbles bad off idle until it hit 15-20 mph then the turbo and engine kicks in. My engine is all stock computer chip, injectors, thorttle body etc....
First thing I would suspect is a vac. leak. Just changing turbos shouldn't make an off boost difference. Check to make sure all of your hoses are on good and the clamps are secure. Look at any hoses between the maf and the throttle body.
@earlbrown don't have a ground wire on the "j" bracket......only ground wire within the turbo is the ground off battery to the block and maybe some other leads stacked together (can't recall) should there be extra leads stacked together should they go to the j bracket?
stumbles or pop is usually --lean
first thing is you need a chip for that turbo ,
next is you probably dont have the injectors to cover that turbo
what does your scanmaster read when it stumbles or pops
and technically the ground is secured on top of the J bracket with the lower j bracket bolt . and technically the bolt for the battery ground is not into the block its into the passenger head
