It was time for me to get a new puter so I got a Lenovo home laptop. 17" screen and it saves so much room. You can copy all your files onto a flash drive along with your favorites from your browser and your saved emails and just copy them onto a new machine. If you don't feel like tackling it, GeekSquad can do it for you.

John, I think I'll do the same thing. I can plug the lt into the monitor, when working on the web, and use it for tuning, too. My office desk is now a mess of wires, boxes, screen, speakers, etc. Makes it hard to keep things dust free!

We have a Lenova big screen lt at the shop...Makes for a nice layout of all the gauges we use on EFILIVE.
And, it doesn't weigh 10#!

I got mine 18 months ago, Win 7. DualCore i5, it works great. It was a refurbished one but it was brand new in the box. Found it somewhere online, new egg maybe?

WTF? I got a red "X" on my post (#7) about version downgrading from some joker named STGMAN who never even posted in this thread. How is this possible? Somebody can just sit back and leave a negative "remark" w/o even posting ? ? ? At least have the sack to jump in and explain you're negativity!

This may be a dumb question, and I don't mean to thread jack at all, so my apologies
if it seems as such. But, why are you upgrading? Is it because this is a multi use computer, and you need to keep up with modern times? I ask because I just bought an older notebook (still runs on Windows XP), but my sole purpose for this comp is just to use for datalogging in my car. And I'm hoping I didn't make a bad decision here.

Microsoft is not going to support XP anymore with upgrades which forces us to buy/use their new system! ie: Win 8
I would call it a monopoly to say the least.

You shouldn't have any issues if you run Win7. Unless your old programs were designed for win98 or older.
I still use my old office 2003 and outlook with my win7.
