I was just curious to see if anyone had attempted or completed a 2.8v6 to small block Olds conversion in a 3rd gen Camaro. I plan on putting a 403 Olds in my recently acquired Camaro and wanted to see what anyone thought.

have fun... that engine family was never put in that chassis from the factory, so it's not going to bolt in.. the transmission will also need to be changed due to the bellhousing.. you're not going to find headers for it, so it's either factory exhaust manifolds that may or may not clear the frame or custom made headers..

head over to www.thirdgen.org and ask if anyone has done this yet...

I already have a dual pattern 200-4r so that helps with the transmission. I've seen a few people mention that using g-body Olds motor mounts help with the engine part.

you will need a different mount for the trans so you can hook the torque arm up, and no one makes headers for it. i doubt that any stock exhaust manifolds will work, since the Olds engine was never put in a car with frame rails that are that narrow..
