Hello, all. What value would you put on a 1987 Regal V8 that has been converted to look like a Grand National? It looks exactly like a GN, but it is a standard Regal with a V8 crate and GN interior...very nice shape with 80k on the car.

What's it worth as a private sale?

Well let's start with you saying it was converted to a WE2 ....which would include a V6 ....

Ok. My bad. Sorry if I wasn't clear. It looks just like a Grand National, but has a V8 Crate Engine...A plain old 1987 Buick Regal with the GN interior and exterior. NOT with the V6 engine, but a V8 Crate engine. Once again, a V8 engine is in a 1987 Buick Regal coupe that has been made to look like a Grand National, but it's not a Grand National because it has a V8 Crate Engine, NOT a V6 that would have come with a GN, but this is not a GN. It is a 1987 Buick Regal with a V8 crate engine....how much is it worth?

This is the V8 Crate Engine that is in the Buick Regal that has been made to look like a Grand National, but it is not a Grand National or a WE2, to be clear.

No V6 anywhere in the deal. This is a cosmetic makeover of a 1987 Buick Regal with a V8.

Going to be hard to say truthfully. Is it a carbed V8 or an LS ?
Nicely installed ? Have AC ? What trans ?

A regular regal is probably worth about 4k , then add the interior which is about a grand if it's nice , turbo hood about 350.00 , spoiler 250.00 , cost of engine,
I would say under 10k but haven't seen it.

The interior has been recovered to look like a GN but it is not GN interior, wrong materials. The car looks nice enough....except the steering wheel. Im sure he has some room for negotiating on the price, doesnt hurt to ask. If you look long enough you can find a real GN for the same price though. Good luck

I was just messing with ya man. Looks like a clean car but not my thing...Might make a good candidate for a turbo V8 build.... GLWS

Thanks for the quick input. I agree that I can find a true GN for not much more $$...Just liked the idea of a V8 Grand National, but this is nothing really special.

How much would you think it's really worth? All things considered, it's a standard V6 Regal with an unknown V8 and fake interior. Just the exterior looks to have been done nicely.

Im pretty sure this car was for sale at American Muscle Cars in McHenry a few months back. I remember the ad saying it just came from Florida. Can't remember what they were asking for it.
