So....I installed vacuum brakes on the GN, and now my cruise control doesn't work. Does it have something to do with all those connectors I removed from the powermaster?

I know the cruise control shuts itself off when you hit the brakes, but I figured it ran off the same switch that activates the brake lights. Any ideas?

Also, I'm pretty sure it's a fuse, but my dome light, power locks, and stereo don't work now. Are they all on the same fuse/breaker?

The brake pedal has to activate a couple of switches down at the pedal. Check to make sure they aren't out of alignment.

I only noticed one during the several hours I spent with my head under there :p but I'll look again, thanks!

Here's something to check. Both the brake light switch and the vacuum breaker on the brake pedal arm. They have a 'ratchet' type adjustment. Make sure the plunger is depressed all the way when brake pedal is up.

Right on!! That's got the cruise control working again!

Any ideas on my accessories? I replaced the circuit breaker but that didn't fix anything :( I hate electrical stuff.

Several HOURS? THats a 45 minute job!

Only kidding. Best investment you'll ever make safety wise.

I remember a previous post indicating a similar problem (dome light, locks,etc.). The advice was to check fusible link(s) at the starter. There are other possibilities, but this may be the most likely. If it is blown, be sure to replace it with the 'correct rating' link. If it blows again, you have a short to ground in this circuit.
May be worth a look...

I fought the "clock, cigar fuse" blowing problem for a month before I found that even though the antenna worked properly, it had a short in it. I unplugged the antenna at the fender in the up postion and no more short. Does the fuse blow with the car off? If so, put a test light between the ground cable and the battery and if it lights up with the car off, start unplugging stuff on that circuit until the light goes off and you should have it. If it doesn't light up with the ignition off, then you have a short in items triggered by the ignition. In that case, the test light won't help you.
