putting the a/c and heater back on after many years. Where do you pull the vacuum from for the heater valve?

is there a vacuum tank like on a na car? this is an '87 GN. If so, where does the tank go?

Yep, plastic ball-like vac reservoir tank mounts in the LF up behind the airdam/bumper... that's were the hvac line gets vac from...

My AC does not work because the vacuum source line got pulled or disconnected....Summer time in Chicago, would be nice to get the AC working again!

I have the shop manuals an this vacuum line routing is in it. But.. whee the hell does the AC/ heater control system get the vacuum source? I believe it is a small hard line but where does it go into the car?

Feeds down into the black hole where the antenna is then what?

Also my shop manual shows a "vacuum tank" that feeds vacuum to the system?

Where is that too. Looks like it is on the engine side of the firewall?

Thanks Prasad. The Vacuum tank is the small ball thing below the Charcoal canister under the front drives side bumper.

There are 2 vacuum lines feeding thur the firewall to the HVAC system. There go in behind where the ECM sits.

There is a rubber grommet here with a yellow connector for the vacuum lines. Im trying to get it out without breaking it...

well this gets worse and worse.

Pulled the wheel well and I still can see where the hell the second rigid plastic vacuum line goes!

This yellow connector seems to have one black vacuum hard line on the engine side and purple and grey soft vacuum line on the inside. I inched one of the soft line so it really leaks now!~

The hard line of the heater control goes where???

HELP

Back to basics?

The AC doe snot come on

There was plenty of freon.

When you turn off the key you can hear a hissing sound inside the car. There is some line leaking and none of the vacuum based controls work on the HVAC controls.
