Valve angle

I'm a nooby here and building a 3.8 NA for my TR3 Triumph. I'm making a set of plates to hold the cylinder head for valve seat and pocket work in the mill. What is the angle of the valve to cylinder head surface. I measure 10* and it just seems too simple.
