Hi, i got a Art Carr trans& stall from a guy who let other guys try to refresh it. I took the pan off to see the damage, and i remember him saying that one of the guys changed the VB, and this is what is on it (yellow CZ5) and pink paint splashed on it. Is it a GN Valve body, or no? Also looks like the check ball under the valve body was pressed so hard against the caseing that it made, a indention. Can you tell me if the placement of the check balls in the VB&caseing go in the same spots on all 2004R, or they are diffrent on GNs with GN VBs?

CZ in a monte SS VB. Turbo regals 86 & 87 had the BR code.

Yes, checkball positions are the same. As said above CZ is a good Vbody. WOT shifts may be a few 100rpm higher depending on Gov used.
