what are the torque specs on the valve cover going to replace the gasket on the passenger side this week? thanks

I always go with sealant, "Right Stuff" from AZ... 15/bottle but GOOD stuff for all seals on the car. I've always went with 'snug' too

Oh COME ON!!!!!! You GOTTA tighten the covers 'till the gasket squishes out, then remove said valve cover and install a new gasket ........THEN tighten it down good an snug. You gotta find the right point of snug by ruining a perfectly good set of gaskets. Then you know how tight to NOT tighten them.;)

Agree with Grumpy (that's scary, huh?) snug and I use RTV/adhesive on the cover side of the gasket only. Dry on the head side.

Thats been my problem...I am only using a 3/8 air ratchet. Hmmm learned something new.
