Hi, I bought a set of stock heads that are being ported by a friend. I bought comp cams 981 springs and valve seals for the intake valves.. Do I need shims ?. Thanks

You need a height mic. Is your friend doing a valve job aswell? If so he should be able to set the springs up right . If not you should get a valve job done while there out and while u are doing all this work to them
. It would suck to reinstall them and have a leaky valve seat

Hi, valve job is also getting done, I'm waiting on retainers so we can install the springs.
