Can the vapor canister be removed without any problems in driveability ? I dont have to have emission tests in my area and would like to eliminate the canister. If it can be removed how is it done ? Thanks

if i remember correctly...when i did that , the fuel tank had high vacume....when i got gas and unscrewed the cap...i got a hell of a noise from air running in...i guess its the vent for the tank...might want to leave it in:eek:

Some guys remove them. I did for a while, but was uncomfortable with the constant fresh gas smell under the hood. I had just left the vent line there with a tiny filter on it, may be I did it wrong.

Anyhoo, I put it back in where the original air filter was.

I removed mine..no difference in the way it runs. No gas smell either. I simply tucked the hose by the frame pointing down.
