how many of you guys have seen these?
They are common in my line of work as they allow atmosphere to escape out of the recess of the threaded bolt and allow for faster out gassing.

So having a supply of these of these
I
thought what a great way to shoot wd 40 into the threads of my downpipe bolts to keep them from seizing on

They also create an exhaust leak if any exhaust pressure gets into the threads.

Heard a leak coming from the downpipe flange and sure enough

Exhaust out of the vent screws
You can imagine my disappointment

Almost as much as not winning the poweball

yep most of the exhaust housing bolt holes breach the housing into the exhaust

We used those in our high vacuum systems at work. Never tried them on a vehicle. Always used anti-seize.

I'm upset I didn't win power ball either. There goes the commercial warehouse I wanted.....

All good

My turbo has 2 bolt holes that protrude into housing and 2 that don't

Was not aware that some went all the way thru

Anti seize deployed
