Okay, I've figured out I like the muscle car look a lot better than the G-Machine look. Though I still don't want skinnies on front for a daily driver.

I love the look of these rims. http://www.gnttype.org/carofthemonth/archive/1thru30/sub1/bigcarofmonth.jpg

They appear to be centerlines but I'm not sure, and if you know please tell. Either way a highly polished rim on a black car looks good IMO.

I also like the TTIIs as seen here on Mark's car:

Tire choice would probably be the same size tires Mark's car has, but I'm still undecided on 275/50/15 or 275/60/15. That is probably due to the fact I haven't seen enough pictures of either to make up my mind. I am sick of feeling like I'm going to wreck my car every time I floor it.

Hey James, I can't remember the name of them for the life of me, but I remember somebody posted some pics and a link to them about a week ago I think. I'm pretty sure they were five spokes, and you could get them in chrome or dark, kinda greyish. They looked really cool, but I'm not sure how they'd look on a TR. I also like the chrome TT's (or others similar to them) on TR's too, and you can't really go wrong with Welds. ;) Good luck.

Personally, I don't care for the Weld 5 stars. I believe you're thinking of Fiske rims. I looked into those, but at over 800 bucks a rim I'll pass. Too bad, because they are very nice!

Here are the rims I think look like the first car: http://www.centerlinewheels.com/w_catalog/06.jpg

They don't come in a 8" width, but they do come in a 8.5". Does anyone know what backspacing I would need with those? 4 1/8 or 3 7/8?

I think these two are really cool too but I'd have to see them on something first.

Oh final question... what bolt pattern measurement is our cars?

Thanks,

James

$800!!! Wow, never mind on those. That's a rip.
BTW, I meant the Weld Draglites. Kinda like those centerlines but with holes in them. :p I also really like the first link you listed, the Matrix. Pretty cool.

5x4.75 bolt pattern. check out www.cragar.com .. the cragar SS's look a lot like a TT II's. but they are a little more unique if you ask me. and definately check out the cragar BOOST wheel:D

The Simmons wheels can be had for $1700.00 if you tell the guy on the phone when you order them that you are a DEALER. Go to www.groupawheels and go to the Simmons wheels section and they even have pics of the wheels on different cars. I have the Simmons wheels on my GN in 17x8.5 in front and 17x9.5 in the rear with the silver centers. If you are thinking of ordering them give yourself 8 weeks leadtime because they are made on special order only, and come from Australia. REAL NICE rims, EXCELLANT quality and when they arrive they're PERFECT:D

gn ergy stole my thunder on the Simmons wheels. If your not a dealer be prepared to pay around $2400.00 for the set. I'm not sure of the back spacing, the US dealer is Group A Wheels and they could help you in deciding on the spacing.

In no way am I able to pay anywhere near 2000 for a set of rims. Though they do look nice, I doubt my marriage would last.

Thanks for the suggestions...

BTW, does anyone have some pictures of 275/60 Drag Radials on the stock rims?

James

I personally have never liked the centerline rims for some odd reason.

I saw a program on TLC or maybe Discovery channel last night that featured Custom rods & they had Chip Foose on the program. Guess this dude is into wheels too.

Those Chip Foose WHEELS are nice!

American Racing 200S loos sweet too. Similar to TT2's but with semi-rounded spokes. Get 'em in gun metal!
