I will bring this to a new post (from "smoke on start-up).
My heads are apart for a quick solvent bath. I am using the stock valves and want to install seals without any machining. Are there any seals I can install that will work with the stock valves? I wouls like to know before I put these back together today.
Just waiting, thanks much.

I don't think you can install exh valve seals WITHOUT machining the guides for them...There won't be enough room between the valve spring retainer and the guide for the seal...

If anyone knows for sure, please jump in, but looking at an old head that has been disassembled, I don't think there is any way to do it w/o machining the guide for the seals...

OK, thanks Jim. I guess I will be staying with the factory arrangement and not put seals on the exhaust valves.

The problem is that the stems of the exh valves are undercut to prevent seal use. You can machine the guides as mentioned or replace the exh valves with non-undercut stems.
