I would like to upgrade the fuel line in the car to braided dash -8 line. how can i do this from the stock tank with a reds double pumper in it? Can i weld a fitting onto the feed line that is -8? Can i run a whole new bulkhead fitting into the top of the pump and attach the pump inside the tank so its -8 all the way? Im a little lost on how to do this and would love some pics or ideas. Thanks

you can just hose clamp it to the outlet of tank / pump. why do you want to change the stock line out? Red's double pumper & stock lines has been in the 8's already.

I did that early this year and I do have a double pumper....only reason being is that I had some rust. I could have patched it but decided to rip all stock lines out. I went braided line from the tank forward and I used a summit billet inline fuel filter.

I left the hard line coming out of the rail to keep the factory fitting and also the hard line out of the regulator....I just flared the hard line...the same process applied to the rear.....you have hard lines coming from the pump just flare the line and use AN fittings. You can run hose and clamps as mentioned...nothing wrong with that but a flare with AN fittings IMO is the best and strongest way to go.

I did this with a barb to an AN fitting ordered from jegs. I told them what I was doing and they pointed out the correct fitting. Worked out great. Just make sure you use hose rated for fuel injection & double clamp everything.

I just SILVER-solder on an -8AN fitting. Silver solder works better than TIG welding a fitting on. Real strong and leak free. TIGing a fitting on tends to produce pin hole leaks. I use 45% silver or higher. Going up in price lately, though.;) A -6AN will feed all the fuel you could possibly use for anything under 800HP.
