how much of a redo of wiring would be necessary for a digital climate control makeover?

As I recall, there may be something different about the Heater box too.

the heater box is probably electrically controlled to open or close.. maybe im thinkin about the blend door.

Heater box is different and wire harness is different, there's also a vac. manifold under the dash and an actuator that opens the heater box door under the dash. I think there's something on the upper heater box also.

Yes there is a sensor that runs to the top of the heater core also.
