I just got a t-44 and my stock sized waste gate wont fit. Can I make it work or do I need another one? Also who sells them.:)

Couple of questions first.
Is this a PTE TE44? Limit Eng? or T-netics?
Reason I ask is, there are some slight differences in bolt pattern on the compressor covers between the vendors. We cast our own covers which are the same as Limits E cover. We sell the wastegate actuator with the correct bracket in two spring styles,
Standard spring = 12-22psi
Heavy duty spring = 18-30psi
These actuators sell for $79.00 each, your choice.
Please specify turbo when ordering. The stock wastegate actuators bolt pattern can only be used on the TA style compressor covers. The TO4E style cover uses a 3 bolt clamp which we weld to the actuator for proper orientation on an 86-87 Turbo Buick and the 89 TTA.
Let me know if I can help you.

KJ,

Now you know why it's best to buy a complete turbo, including wastegate actuator and elbow, if applicable. Then, there are no nasty surprises.

Who supplied the turbo? If it's someone like Limit or PTE they can certainly hook you up.

What kind of DP are you using? If, for example, it's a THDP, the turbo supplier will machine the wastegate (the hole in the turbine cover) to match (i.e. to be slightly smaller than) the diameter of a THDP puck.

These are all things that bear on the way in which a new turbo is set up.

Is your existing actuator adjustable?

Likely, you just need a new bracket attaching the wastgate to the turbo.

Good luck!!!

:)

I am pretty sure the turbo is a limit eng has garret housing and a precision exh. just bought it not realizing the waste gate hole don't line up with the stocker. Yes my waste gate is adjustable just bought it from poston. I may just have to send it back. also I am using the stock DP until i can get to the mufffler shop to have the my ATR pipe put on.may just have to call precision

Yes, phone PTE and less them get things sorted out for you - sounds like you've got some apples and oranges...
