Waste gate selonoid

Hey guys. The computer is throwing a code for the waste gate solenoid for my 84 turbo .. I can't seem to find one anyone for sale. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have an adjustable wastegate actuator and a knock gauge? These are needed before you disconnect the waste gate solinoid. Brad

I have the adjustable actuator. But I don't have a knock gauge, planning on ordering one soon... Before I get it on the road.

Get a knock gauge. You simply hook up the vacuum line from the turbo directly to the wastgate actuator. Remove the Y fitting and cap off the vacuum lines that are open and go to the waste gate solinoid. This eliminates the saftey feature of the waste gate solinoid and changes the waste gate actuator setting. You have to lengthen the waste gate actuator rod all the way and retune. Retune means slowly shorten the waste gate actuator rod until you see knock. Otherwise-you will blow the head gasket or engine. Let me know when you have a knock gauge and I can give you exact instructions.
