I am very interested in buying a Buick muscle car. Since I am new to this whole scene I am trying to be careful with what I settle on. There are 2 cars for sale in my area. One is a 1987 Turbo T WE4. It only has 6000 miles on it and it is in MINT condition. He is asking 20,000. The other is a 1987 Grand National in excellent condition. It has 25,000 miles and he is asking 25,000. I am really looking for some more information on the WE4. Will it hold its value? Does this seem like a fair price? I know there were not that many made, does this make them more desirable? Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I would say the WE4 is the better deal for sure. Assuming both cars are hard tops...

The WE4 was the all black out package for the "T" option. There were only 1500+ built. Same car as the GN with different color interior, spoiler on the back, and the GN emblems!

There is two different trains of thought on the values between the right options T's and the GN's. Between those two the mileage and price difference would make it easy for me to choose:biggrin:

Good luck!

i like the we4 better myself becuase im not a fan of the gns two tone interior. plus the 6k miles is a nice find

I agree with the replys, WE4 is nice but unless your around turbo Regal folks, be prepared for alot less recognition by the general public. My WE4 is just a Buick Regal around here !

I would also agree. The WE4 is a very good buy with only 6000 miles. The GN is not a bad buy depending on the condition, options. I would buy the WE4.

Only Turbo T to have LOL

The WE4 will be the next car in line to hold value other than the GNX in the future. They only made 1547 of them , making them the rarest next to the GNX.
I love them and they will be appreciating at a greater rate in the future.

Just to let you know if you dont want to spend that kinda money.Kirban has a original 44k we4 for 12,500.It looks like a real nice original car.Just a thought.Mike

20k for a 6k mile we4? That's a no brainer:rolleyes: . Buy it and go smack around some 25k+ mustang gts:cool: BTW, anybody that knows what a grand national is around here recognizes my car as that. Everyone else that doesn't even know what a turbo buick is calls it a monte. I say "Yeah, I like montes too" ! Trust me, they're appreciated, just not in the right way. I don't bother on explaining my car unless I think its worth my time.
