weird but very un-good

Alright, well as the story goes I was driving to school Friday morning with my exhaust uncapped because I'm cool like that I punch it for my friend and my car spools up, revs, up and slaps the rev limiter. I was like 'whoa there what happened', it doesn’t do that again till I leave school that after noon. It keeps slapping the rev limiter. When I go to work the next day, (Which is at an auto/tranny shop) I get my boss to drive it and see what he thinks. At first it doesn’t do it but then after a run or two it starts doing it. He says it’s either the TV cable or the governor; he looks at the TV cable to see if it was messed up. He says its fine, and the car quits hitting the rev limiter but at WOT feels like it has no power, it wouldn’t even light up the tires from a roll. (Which it used too). Later that night I figured I would take it easy and not go WOT anytime. on my way down to the south Florida turbo Buick club met, my tranny decides not to shift out of second, it doesn’t even go down to first. (Or maybe it never came out of second) or maybe it was in first. If I shifted the car down from OD into 3rd, 2nd or 1st it would bang really hard. I took it to the shop today (Monday) to make have them check it out.

What could have happened here? This cant is too good, and it IS a brand new Tranny, it was recently rebuilt, (less than 2 months ago.)

the day before this all started happening (Thursday) my car worked perfectly, I mean I launched it chucked me and my friend back into our seats pretty hard, several times....

Well I’m stumped, what do you think?

I think the torque convertor is locked up!, there is a siloniod(SP) in the valve body that controls it. Check it out! before you mess something up.

Tv valve maybe sticking either physically or hydraulically, there is a tv balance hole in seperator plate that can be opened up .54" which wil correct it if it hyd. or possible tv exhaust check ball and lifter rod not working properly.

yup, sound like what happened to mine. my TV cable treetched and caused the lifter rod to pull out and drop th eball causing max tv pressures. I adjusted to tv to no avail. Thought.. hmmm how can that be. Pulled the pan and saw the spring and rod out of the vb where the tv cable connects to the link.

it was a washer!!!

well it was a washer that was bad, or something like that and when it broke it took out 3rd clutch...

but it dosent seem to be as strong it was the day before it broke, right before it broke it seemed to push us back into the seat pretty good, now is just seems like it dosent go as nicely... he said i might need a new valve body, so if i do need one does any one know where i can get a new VB, and one that will have nice hard shifts?
