Finally broke down and did it.

Just finished having Nick Micale's guy notch the rear end on the TR. (Did some skunkworks control arm work under there , too. ;))

Put new 10'' wheels (different offset) and brand new 295/55/15 MT DR's on her.... I'm thinkin' I could even get some 305's under there........

Me like! :D

Yeah, you'd better.....and I'll be GLAD to take over after dr_frankenstein is finished.....we wouldn't want you to get hurt with that thing, you know.......we care about you deeply. :rolleyes: So, turn it over to us for a while....we are only voicing our concern.......:p, turbo t guy,. did you narrow the rear end or remove spacers? different offsets in the wheels? looks like the 275s stick out more that the 295s

Niether, we notched (narrowed) the frame rails to accommodate a deeper offset wheel, 5 1/2 inches instead of 4 1/2 inches. This allows for a wider tire that is tucked under the car better on the same width wheel.

The 275's DID stick out further and had a tendancy to rub a little when I had back seat passengers, on semi large bumps and when I winched it down on the trailer. That's why I did it.

Well, that and the fact that it looks soooo much better. :D

that is the best thing I did to my 86, I had room for 13 in wide tires under it!
( I did mini tub it too)
 
Very nice. It was the totally most bitchenest ride before. Now it looks even better.:D

Can't wait to hear how it 60 foots now.

As for the 60 footers.......I'm lookin' for strong 2.0's now!!!!;)

Or maybe I'm just that BAD ASS Driver guy in my mind's eye........:oops::(:mad:....:D
