i had all my trim piece powder coated black. turned out awsome and it will hold up to almost anything.

you can get a powder coated silver that looks like crome i have seen it. not sure what you have local.

Have a chrome plating shop polish it for you...Trust me, if you like the chrome look you will love the polished aluminum and stainless steel trim polished!!

polishing sounds like the way to go. I have all the tools needed to polish myself after polishing my 31 ft 1967 Airstream camper:eek:

How much did it cost to get it all done?

cant remember this was years back and i know alot of people so i got a killer deal. it cant be more then 100 bucks i would say with all the trim pieces being coated.

Take The Header Panel Off Youll Be Alot Happier ,the Job Looks So Much Better If You Do ,in The Event You Damage Your Header Panel ,you Can Remove It Without A Paint Seam On The Fender Peeling Paint Off ,.

Evans Ward; thanks, yeah i have a dutt neck'ed i/c that still has to go on, but it looks like i have some ''catching up'' to do  .

got a set of 86/87 chrome gn wheels today.will look better with chrome wheels IMHO. thanks goes out to classof87 (Rico) for finding these for me and for the great deal they were.good looking out bro.....

Gary,

You got it back to the shop yet?
I got to come see you anyway, I can smap some pics for you.

Patrick

not yet, maybe today. they are wet sanding and buffing ( i didnt think it needed it)

On polishing the window mouldings, if you haven't found out already, they're anodized aluminum. You really can't polish them unless you sand off the anodize. Wheel mouldings are stainless steel, and will polish with the right equipment. By the way, good luck with your new paint job. Looks great!

Gary, keep on updating all of us on the car. I am so glad that you are doing such a good job on that car. And, by the way, keep the pictures coming!!

Your doing a GREAT job of bringing that historical Turbo Buick back to it's former glory. I'm looking forward to more pic's.
