well my friend was driving down to see his friend that moved down there and why not we went for a ride.

it was about 9 hours from nj turnpike to i95 than on i 85 weich is 130 miles of trees left and right lol

we got there finaly and when i mean this town was dead it was dead called salisbury lol

the town was maybe a mile long with no one except people ages 35-90

we got to the house/trailer lol and lets see what they do for fun,

step 1 buy a small pickup s10/ranger
put on complete air suspension air bags compressor
put on cheap wheels
weld 4 trailer tow balls to the underside of your frame rails
and last go on the highway and drop your truck doing sixty mph to see alot of sparks.

DRAGGGGINNN YOOOOOOOOOOO

it was a different experience the only thing i liked about that state was the price of cigarettes and smoking in restaurants forgot what that was like.

You can't judge a book by one page:biggrin: That is an entirely different place than where I live. I went to a town just near there the other day to pick up a repo and I thought I was in the twilight zone:eek: West Spencer NC:confused:

You should take a good tour:biggrin:

LMFAO thats excactly what that town was like just like people trying to hide out from a murder or like crazy **** lol

you could live like a king there working at mcdonalds im getting a po box there for my insurance lol

rent was 495 a month
100 electricity

insurance 2 cars full coverage was like 550 a year

$495 a month for Rent? You must have been in the upper side of town. Nothing down here to do but watch the grass grow. I'm sorry Tobacco & cotton grow.

Ehem... A Brooklyn NY transplant... I love how some of the locals thing Raleigh is a big city with a good night life, etc... poor guys and gals think they actually have something going on here.

Now, the weather is great, housing market was not hit that bad (at least where I am which is right outside of Raleigh) and just a better value of life.

Overall I like it down here. There are times that I scratch my head and want to go back home where the food is good and the people are real.

Down here in Bethel you can rent a Home with out axles for $300 a month! I can remember renting less then a 1/8th acre in MD 10+ years ago to store 12 cars for $200 a month LMAO.

Our new facility is an old Ford Dealership. 27K sq ft. with a 30K sq. ft. bldg. out back & 12+ acres. Also a 1 acres residential lot out side of the fenced in area. I'm not even going to tell you what we are paying.:D
When he gave me a quote I thought it was for the building & 2-3 acres around it.

Ssshhh! We can't let that kind of info be public. I like it less populated:biggrin:

You aint kidding... it is shocking the price difference... I go up to NYC every month or ever other month... out of control prices up there... I dont know how them people live up there...haha ;)

Last time in MD I bought a pack of smokes for $6.00 & change & started complaining. The guy from NY told me they were $10.00 a pack up there. I thought that was bad till I went to a bar I hung out when I lived up there. They pulled the cig right out of my mouth. Then said you can't smoke in a bar in MD. I was like ok that's enough!

See everyone thought I was crazy when I mentioned NC as a tad out of sorts in another post. Nice place to visit but not sure I would want to stay there.

I was going to spend a little time with this but I decided why even bother. I know you'd never see or find the value in the things I treasure about our state. It really just much easier to say if you don’t like it, don’t come back, because we damn sure don’t want you moving down here. ;)

Salisbury is the home of Cheerwine and Frankie's Chicken Shack... and Food Lion.

Phoenix used to be like your State until all the East Coast liberals moved here got elected and ruined everything.

The majority of our liberals are in two little circles and they don't like traveling outside of them...

Same goes..

around my neck of the woods... Don't like it, don't feel the need to come back...
335 folks here, the quikstop, the post office, the blinking lite.
Sure is quiet. [You can hear the cotton, the wheat, the beans growing;)]
liv4gnz.. Just think, you could live in a low rent trailer, and use the $$ you saved, to have Bigwood racing put your GN together, the right way!:p
Once it ran for more than a day, you'd be KOTH, cruisin' around...:D:D

Talk to me when you can make it 470 miles in 6 hrs 45mins :D.

And Bethel is a one of a kind town , Its like time itself has stopped down there.

I dont think I want to know what happens on the other side of "the bridge" :(, I'm still trying to figure out why people are riding their bikes with winter jackets on? I think they are just slingin crack............... speaking of which im running low so i'll find out tommorrow :D. Brian might find me shootin dice with them in the back of the shop  Clickity Clack

Check out the coast...like Duck, Nagshead, Outer Banks and that area. Beautiful if you ask me. Greenville and Thomasville are nice, I have a cousin there. A lot of people from the D/C area are moving there to get away from the chaos. Virginia (not Northern VA and Richmond) is like NC. Any time I travel I tell people I am from "the Washington DC area" because if I say Virginia, they think I live in the sticks.
