Well I've been up visiting with my grandmother since this past weekend and today we were bored and decided to check it out.... I've driven past this place (on the Turnpike) more times than I'd like to admit (it's exit 341) without ever checking it out so it was nice to finally go in and see what's in there......

All I can say is if you're a true fan of Drag Racing, Race cars, and Muscle cars (especially Mopars) this is a really cool place to check out.... It was pretty cool to see some of the old Top Fuel cars as well as all of the badass motors (one of them being an 8000hp Top Fuel motor).... In the one building where it was mostly 30's-70's vintage/muscle cars and the early V8 motors I saw a Buick 231ci motor that was built by Smokey Yunick for IMSA Racing:cool:

If you're ever in Central/Northern Florida I suggest you check it out:)

Here is the website for those that might be interested....

We've been 3 times so far. The last time, Don's 90 some-thing year old mother was taking tickets! BTW, his autobiography should be out by now.

Yeah I think the lady that took our tickets was/is Don's wife or at least that is what the one guy in there mentioned....

Yeah, I go about every other year. The last time she was there. BTW I think Mrs. Garlits is blind! Or so I thought I heard someone say. Very nice and accomidating people.

I stopped there many years ago and still have the Big Daddy
pocket screwdriver to prove it!
Did you see that crazy photo of when his clutch exploded and
sawed the car in half? I believe he lost a part of his foot in that
one.
I've also visited the NHRA motorsports museum in Pomona CA.
Lots of cool stuff there too.
