What would be a fair price to pay in todays market for an all original 87GN with 15000 miles, in showroom condition , No T-Tops/ No moonroof, but has all the other options.
Thanks

Market is slow right now but I'd still say $17k. Low mileage orignal GNs get rarer every day.

$18K-$20K if its Mint showroom shape. We are tight fisted when buying (not selling!) but I think around $20K for a car like that is a fair price.

I was gonna say $25K & really it should be worth that! No miles & A-1 shape.

I'd pay that much. Paid 22K back in May 88 for almost the same thing but a LTD!

X2, good call, Brent.

Well the owner was asking $28k , I offered him $23k , he came back with $25k
So it looks like $24 will buy the car if I really want it , but I fell that $24k is a bit to high , But then the car is so mint and perfect..

Thanks for everyones opinions

I would say that 24k is a fair price for a showroom clean car with that mileage.

Ask yourself why you feel it is so wrong if everybody else feels that it is so right. Chances are that if you haven't made arrangements to buy it yet, you have already waited too long. Between $20K & $25K you should be checking how accurate your description regarding mint it really is.
How many owners, power antenna working, no brake light, how are the front & rear bumper fillers, etc.
In kali, that would be a $24K to maybe a $27K car, already sold and no longer available on the market.

I would be the 3rd owner , power antenna works perfect and bumper fillers and complete body is as perfect as I have seen ,

Thanks
Sal

You will spend the difference making one close to perfect.
And never know how the car has been treated.

If you have the means. Get what you want and don't look back. How many times , I should a, would a, could a.

I bought mine last summer from a friend, who was original owner. 15,900 miles on it when I got it. Paint is checked, not OEM exhaust, and tires. I stole it from him for $14,000. He knew it went to good home, and I was begging to buy it for a long time. He needed $$$ for his house and we met at that price. It is easily a $24,000-$25,000 car. Car now has 17,500 on it. I will drive it, not let it sit.

Thanks
Coach

There is a brake warning light that lights up when the powermaster is screwing around, getting ready to lose the brake bowl, getting ready to lose the brake switch, or just plain getting ready to quit. It generally doesn't happen on extremely low mileage turbobricks but it can. Generally the light will come on occasionally, and then something will go south. Expensive unit to repair or replace. Parts availability is pretty much history other than collector item prices. Just thought that I would mention that. A search might be in order just to get you familiar with the powermaster. If it were me, that car would at least already have had a close scruntity inspection, test drive and at least a down payment to secure it. At $25K, if it were mint, I would be all over it like a cheap ******* suit. And I don't even like GN's, well, not as much as the non GN turbobuicks. HTH & good luck

Good post. I always wonder where the pricing is. Seems like prices are still about the same as when I bought mine 5 years ago. Just may take a little longer to sell due to finding that right buyer.
