What are true friends

I want wanted your opinions on what a true friend should be

In my opinion-


a true friend will be someone that you can tell them anything in the world no matter what, and they understand.

a true friend wont screw your wife or girlfriend no matter if she comes on to him/her no matter how drunk ya'll get???

a true friend will always tell you their opinion of the subject and we all agree to disagree.

a true friend is someone who you may not be in contact with for years, and once you see that person, its like no time has gone by and your still buds just like the good ole times

A True Friend is someone that would be willing to put his life down, to save your's, and you would do the same for. It's easy to be friends, True Friends, takes the test of time, and circumstance, IMO.

NJturbo. thanks for the concern. i was just wondering since some things has happend between a friend and i . It maybe a big nothing to some but to me it kinda bothers me on how i got done by this person.

Well if it is to personal, we understand. Otherwise, fill us in and maybe we can help. I have found in life that you can count on one hand how many close friends you have. These select few, you can trust with anything including women, money, etc. They are far and few....

I hear ya Quick6'n-'KC ! I spent about 1 & 1/2 hours on the phone with Tim about 2 weeks ago.(remember the BBQ spread he put on for all us when we went to SYTY Nats a few years back??) I love Tim to death and he will SURE tell ya his opinion on things in a hurry!

well for those that don't know i'm a quadriplegic, and the guy that drives my car at the track not only is my best friend. This "true friend" saved my life the night of my accident. So my idea of quality friendship is a person that wouldn't think twice to grab your lifeless body and rush you to safety!

Now I second that one! just wanted to put in a few here myself.
When you live miles out of town a true friend will still drive out to see you.
The wife and money thing is very true as they will not screw you on either
A TRUE friend might still screw up [ we are ALL human] BUT you can tell them they did and they will make it right! [except with the wife thing lol]
A true friend will give you a holler just to bs , not just when they need something!
You will have a lot of friends but if you really look at it hard you will see you have a lot of people you know.

Things are going good here for the most part. Tim & Nancy have had a lot going on the past few months from what they tell me. Tim wants us to come back out to KC in June for the SyTyNats, don't know if we will make it or not, depends on if I have to have another wrist surgery. I busted my distal radial joint last year, and still having problems after my 1st surgery. If we go we may have to fly and rent a GMC Envoy

i think a good friend is someone who will tell you exactly how it is. I also think a true friend is someone that no matter what happens(money women) they will be there for you 100%. I will be the first person to tell you that trust is the most important thing in a friendship. Ask yourself this question, would you want that person in a fox hole with you? If you answer yes then you hav a true friend if you answer no you should really think about it. Just my 2 cents. Harry

It has been my experience that your only "true" friends are your own family. I have never had a "friend" that hasn't screwed me in some way, shape or form. Well, only 1 now that I think about it.

But seriously, I have an idea how you feel. Grew up with a dude, were closer than brothers and as a matter of fact I DID bail him out of the drunk tank one night. Know where this putz is now? me either.

Since the famous jail quote was already used, I'll add my two cents with one of my favorites...
