Thought this was a little disturbing!!!!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of PanAm Flight 103!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the military barracks in Saudi Arabia!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the American Embassies in Africa!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM bombing of the USS COLE!

REMEMBER the MUSLIM attack on the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001!

REMEMBER all the AMERICAN lives that were lost in those vicious MUSLIM attacks!

Now the United States Postal Service REMEMBERS and HONORS the EID MUSLIM holiday season with a commemorative first class holiday postage stamp.

REMEMBER to adamantly and vocally BOYCOTT this stamp when purchasing your stamps at the post office. To use this stamp would be a slap in the face to all those AMERICANS who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors.

Dude - it's not the religion that's the problem. You can't persecute a religion because of the actions of a minute # of worshipers.
If the world did that, Christians & Catholics would be in a world of hurt.

I think your post is with good intentions but a little misguided.

I completely agree, i mean these are evil people not evil religions, heck Hitler thought he was a good Christian that doesn't make the religion bad. We are a country that embraces other races and religions. There are bad apples in every group

I understand and fully agree with both sides of this discussion so far. I am NOT a religious person at all, and I think it is fair to say without offending those who are that religion --for some-- is like elective psychosis.....a recipe for madness. There are many people who can't just say 'My god is great, if you don't agree...oh well.'..........BUT, it seems -at least lately- like the Muslims are the most likely to turn it into a big "My god can beat up your god!"
b!tch fight. So, maybe it is just a little early to do something like this...? I really wish that I had read the Koran, because I keep wanting to say 'I heard this.....and I heard that...', but I don't actually KNOW much on the subject.

All I know is that I wont be buying any stupid Muslim stamps or any Christian stamps (think of what alot of them have done..) I will just keep with the American flag stamps because the flag is the only image one can behold in this day and age without having anyone's superstitions offered to you.

That's the best plan.
Personally, I think ALL religions have been twisted around and bastardized so much that they ALL have lost their true meaning.

If people would simply pick up the Bible, the Koran or what ever and just READ it for them selves and not simply listen to some talking head, the world and it's various religions would be much better off.

sorry to get off topic....

National Socialism and religion cannot exist together.... The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity.... Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things - Adolf Hitler 1941

The reason why the ancient world was so pure, light and serene was that it knew nothing of the two great scourges: the pox and Christianity - Adolf Hitler 1941

It is common knowledge that Hitler rejected Christianity.

How true, how true....
I was raised in a semi-religious home, and it wasn't long before I realized that I didn't believe in ANYBODY'S boogey-men. So, of course, I read alot of stuff that -up until then- I was told was awful and maniacal. You know what I found? Anton LaVey's 'Satanic Bible' expresses absolutely no belief whatsoever in the existence of a 'devil' of any kind. It is mostly a book written for those of us who are fed up with religious fanatics compromising the lives of those around them over their fables that they are convinced are so incredibly important.....You just have to look around for the real deal.

Really, these stamps just come down to politics; our government has to please the 'right' by quasi-avenging those who have been murdered by our latest foes, while appeasing the 'left' by appearing to respect the Muslim folks and drawing a line between the cave-dwelling goat f***ers and the friendly middle-eastern gentleman who works at your local hardware store.

Personally, I think that anyone who believes that an invisible force is watching them from above and requires them to assimilate or destroy others is someone who we can never take a close eye off of.......

I can only hope that some Mohammed Jaqir Mabullah somewhere doesn't get the idea to mail some anthrax to the white house with a stamp printed for him and his own by a federally- regulated operation!

I shouldn't admit this, but -like many- years ago when I was 21 I got a DUI and spent a weekend in jail.:o While there, I read Mein Kampf and ,though it's been years, I really got the feel that Hitler was doing the same thing as Schwarzenegger when he was seen on TV at church recently:....... campaigning! He said 'Lord this' and 'Lord that' to please the lowly proles, and then later it became obvious that he didn't much care for christianity. Remember hearing about his search to find Hell (or was it Heaven?) at the center of the Earth? He was one screwy motor-scooter, and I bet even he didn't know what he felt from one moment to the next.

Thanks for the link, that's some interesting stuff!

"God must love a$$holes...he sure did make alot of them."
-Anton Szandor LaVey

Yeah maybe I shouldnt have said "common knowledge" as it has defiantely been debated and there are varying opinions. Just as Deceptcn said, read Mein Kampf and make up your own mind. The general consensus seems to be that Hitler rejected christianity, that better?:D

All that said, I will pass on any Muslim supporting stamps..

Print me up some special edition Red, White and Blue and you got a deal.
;)

Don't bag on something if you're not familiar with it. I'll resist the name calling, but I was wondering how long someone like you would wait to respond to that.

GOD, Save me from your followers!!!!

Let's all face it, nearly all wars are fought for either land, money, a woman, or a religious belief. Many are fought for more than one of those reasons.

As for the religion part, can someone show me in any religions writings where it says to love thy neighbor unless he is of a different religion???

It's always the 'good guys' who have the highest death-counts. Even watching the History channel shows about the Salem witch trials makes me so angry. The religious brainwashing is so frustrating....on Sept. 12th '01, I came into work to hear the Jehova's Witness arguing with the Born-Again Christian about what god thinks of the Muslims! I wanted to slap someone.....I mean, could we let the crap go before anybody else (who doesn't give a damn about your god) gets killed?!

I have the utmost respect for those who have their own religion and practice their faith quietly and among like-minded folks, but those who think they have the right to irritate anyone else with their beliefs ought to be dealt with in the same fashion that they have treated their opposition in the past...hangings, floggings, stonings, etc.

Let's all throw this crap away and respect eachother as equal men rather than hate the next guy 'cause he prays to a different invisible man than you do.

99% of the chain e-mails are bogus. Be careful of what you pass on.

From http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl-muslim-stamp.htm
The U.S. Postal Service issued the Eid stamp commemorating the Muslim holidays Eid al-Fitr (marking the end of Ramadan) and Eid al-Adha (marking the end of the pilgrimage to Mecca) as part of its multicultural Holiday Celebrations series on September 1, 2001.

From http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/boycotts/eidstamp.asp
The Eid stamp is not a "semi-postal" issue sold for a price higher than the first-class postage rate in order to raise money for a particular cause (as the breast cancer stamp is), and all the revenues from the stamp's sales go to the USPS. In no way will buying this stamp help to fund terrorists (unless they're working for the USPS), so boycotting the Eid stamp is purely a symbolic act.
Should we boycott a stamp commemorating Islamic holidays as "a slap in the face to all those Americans who died at the hands of those whom this stamp honors" because some Muslims have perpetrated attacks against Americans, even though not all Muslims are terrorists (or support terrorism, or despise the USA), and America itself is home to millions of Muslims? The President of the United States apparently doesn't think so, as President Bush has extended greetings, issued messages, and participated in commemorations of both Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (even after the September 11 attacks), and the White House web site promotes the Eid stamp as well.
