what type of indoor car covers are good ? gnx and tt/a
we use the one the G.S.C.A. sells, it's the only one I have found to stop the dust from penetrating it.

car covers

Hi,
Most of them pass some dust. For your highly collectable, low mileage vehicles, maybe the bubble is best. Budge's tyvek job is pretty good, but eventually permeable. The car's surface needs to breath a little, anyway. Then we get into all that decaying vinyl and other synthetics. I've got to stop now, too depressing....

I recently purchased a BUDGE cover from Autozone. I think it was the Budge GOLD model. It has a light brown textured/embossed surface. Its a 3 layer with a micropore layer in the middle. What that means is it keep rain out but also lets moisture escape. I had my car in the driveway on jackstands from July till November with that cover, and it did not get dirty. About $75.

I use a car cover from California Car Covers Co. - www.calcarcover.com. I've got 3 of them all the stormweave material. It's really an outdoor cover but can be used indoor (I use my cover on my 87 T indoors). It does keep the dust from getting to the paint. I like this cover because it's thicker than most and protects against dings or damaged caused by accidentially bumping something into your car (I've got a small two car garage). The cover costs about $175.

How about some of us outdoor winter weather guys?? What works good for us... I really like the bubble.

the cheapest way to store your car outdoors is a car port like the kind from cover-it.durable and weather-proof. as long as their is no trees or branches to fall on it your good to go.

I use the California Car Cover NOAH in the winter for the GN.

It works okay if you don't try to chop ice off it with a big azz scraper.

Got one hole in it in 4 years now. ;)

Made nicely to fit the car.

Is the underneath soft ? Worried if it's too tight that it might scratch.

Thanks for the help

they look great...

nope.

It is nylon on both sides. The underside is not as 'coated' feeling as the silver outside but it is just nylon. It has not scratched my GN at all.

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do NOT buy covercraft from Aid Auto. I have had about 4 of them at $142.00 a peice and they SUCK!!!!! The sharp corners on the trunk lid of the GN rips through in a few months(if kept oustide w/ wind and such). I came home one day when it was raining and windy to find my cover off and ripped in half where the antenna goes through and large diameter sticks all over the hood, roof, and trunk  . The moisture still gets through, dirt and dust gets through, you cannot wash the cover or is acts like a strainer and lets everything through, they always rip before 1 year no matter what!!! Cover craft doesnt seem to care that they make a POS product, and Aid Auto doesnt car that they sell it. I am currently putting up a car-port in my backyard. Dont buy covercraft!!!!!
