What cars came with BIG injectors?

I'm looking for a set of injectors at the boneyard for my LT1 budget project. Just curious if you guys can point me the right direction for cars to look for and what size injectors they came with???

LKQ Junkyards will do crosses for you. They are nationwide.
They crossed and printed all the vehicles years and vin I could get an ECM out of for one of my work trucks.

Some Advance Auto parts stores can too. The one here does them for me.

I believe that Ford Lightning came with 42# injectors......that's what I was told anyways.

Yep, The greentop's are Ford Lightning 42 1/2 lb injectors. Got a set that I'll be putting in my GN this spring, along with a TT chip.

And what are the odds of finding a Lightning in any boneyard? I'm used to the self service yards. The dicks at the full service yards would make you buy the motor if you wanted those green tops.

Now I will say that the LT1 is coming of age. Tons of LT1 B-Bodies for the picking down where I was at in Orlando. You might luck out and find somebodies hot rod project with upgraded injectors on it already. I guess what I'm trying to say is know what you are looking at so you don't pass up a good find when you see it.

Ive already got the motor. I thought there were some Fords with Blue Tops? Also a buddy of mine has a set of green top injectors but i have no idea what they came out of or how to identify what size they are. Were there certain vehicles that had 36#ers?

I thought the 460 truck motor had blue tops in the early 90's. Could be mistaken though.

I think the Thunderbird Supercoupes of the 90s (supercharged v6) had 36 lb injectors...could be wrong though.

Ford inj. w/ red tops were 30's I believe and those did come on late 80's early 90's Super Duty trucks with the 460. Other Ford colors include the orange one's which are 19's so don't bother, light blue are 24's also don't bother.

'03-'04 Cobra's have the new thin style blue injectors which are 39#.
'99-'04 Lightning injectors are a lime green color and those are 42's.

I can probably scrounge up a set of Lightning inj. if you're interested Jeremy.

The cobra injectors use a different style plugin. Youd need adapters.
