I've always been a fan of buick red...As you can see from the pics of what I started out with when I bought this car in Feb of this year.... YUK...nasty...the after, cleaned and I had the intake powder coated aluminum and the stock valve covers and plenum red. The block is black.

Some really cool paint schemes on the engines.
I think i am going to borrow the all silver / aluminum color look for the block, heads, valve covers, intake, plenum and throttle body with the black brackets. Oil leaks should be easier to spot.
 
I painted my block black because i like it that way.(y)

I don't allow my engine to have leaks so it's not a problem with the color.;)
 
My block is now black courtesy of "boostjunkie". It is a clean look that sinks into the engine bay.

Previously, before it was torched, I'd painted the block Ford Grey. It is a clean color for an engine as well. There is a couple pics of engines that color in this thread.
 
love the work guys, I am leaning towards all (brackets and all) aluminum color. The color Steve Monroe uses on the throttle bodys
