hi, i'm pulling my motor for a rebuild and i want to make sure that i have the right convertor before i put it back in.

i'm going to be running:

-210/215 roller
-ported iron heads and intake
-.30 over bottom end with studs and billet caps
-T66 turbo and gbodyparts 23 row intercooler
-stock gearing but built rear and trans

and i'm probably going to upgrade to a TT chip and 50lb injectors, i currently have an old chip and 42.5's.

i have a 12" organge stripe l/u convertor in the car now. is this convetor ok or would something with more stall be optimal?

PTC 10" 2800 LU from Dusty Bradford. Good to high 10's with instant spool on the street at any speed.

Do these PTC 10 inch or 9 inch converters have a billet cover or anti-balloning plates?

The 66's don't spool as well as the DBB67's. Whether it's due to the turbine design or what, I don't know. The 66's need a 3000-3200. I have done a couple 2800's with handwork on the stator to get closer to 3000. These work fine for a 11.00 car, maybe a little faster.

I really prefer the 9.5 non lock if very quick spool-up is wanted and the owner has plans of running well into the 10's.
