For the summer try the Royal Purple "Purple Ice" it works well. Just flush you system add the bottle then fill with tap water. the purple ice needs tap. Redline Water Weter need distilled water. I prefer RP products.

do as Brent said, and expect a few degrees hotter with that fmic. A ramchargers type dual fan would help some also. Cali gets hot in the valley, and my elky would see temps up to 214 going up the 405 frwy. from the 101. I hated seeing that!!

ill try the royal purple ice tomorrow..what do the ramcharger system go for and where can i get one?

If I were you, I would talk to Nick Micale at Arizona GN... he has owned/worked on TR's/been in the TR community since they were new, in the blazing arizona desert heat and KNOWS how to keep 'em running cool.... he recommends RMI 25 over Water Wetter (which is also good).... don't know much about the Royal Purple stuff.... and I don't think it's as commonly used as the RMI or WW. I would trust Nick's advice in this matter.... MHO....

Yeah that front mount is gonna add a few degrees to the temps, I would run a dual fan as was said above, I run the RMI-25 in my radiator, never tried the other stuff.

Stat?

Well, since nobody asked I guess I will.......what stat are you running?
I'll assume it's a 160*

RMI 25 gets my vote! That stuff also cleans as it works & dissolves rust & calcium buildup in the fins. That & dual fans & your set!

I saw a place on E-bay in the "Buick Grand National" parts that sells the dual fan set-up with the plug and play adapter for $125. You could also go to the bone yard and get one from a Mopar for approx. $40 and wire it up yourself or just buy an adapter from Caspers, etc.

im not sure what stat? the car stays pretty steady between 172-180 BUT its not summer yet. aslo ill be gettin a dual fan like you guys said i should. and what stat should i get i know i see alot of people like the 160 but out here in the summer i wonder if that would work

I run a 160* and live up here in Can-a-dr eh?

I only run the car in the summertime but it runs at 160-170* tops.

I'd change the stat first and see........it's cheap enough.

is the RMI 25 best with tap water, distilled water and or anti-freeze?

i run rmi 25 with distilled,PTS radiator and dual ramcharger fans with a 160 stat. my car doesnt get hot for aything. even after back to back hotlaps in the arizona heat. never seen the car get above 180

just got done installing a dual fan i got at a pic a part wrecking yard i scored a nice looking fan off a 04 caddy for $50 that should help out alot..also since ive had my car the fans turn on as soon as i turn the key over. how can i correct this? or is it a good thing?
