This is with the car on jack stands and a gage hooked up to the trans. The fluid level shows below the hatch marks cold not running. I am assuming that the level rises after startup unless it pulls more thru the trans before heating up.
But after heating up and putting it thru the gears I get a vibrating noise that comes thru the gage and I hear it in the trans, its like a buzzing / shuddering sound in one.

I'm not sure if it is a fluid level issue or if something in the new shift kit.

Could be a stuck TV Valve in the VB. Get in the car with the key off and floor and release the gas pedal like 15 times in a row real fast. Sometimes that will free it

Fluid level is checked with engine idling on this trans. Should be full to top of hash marks or slightly overful to the "S" part if youi want.

All guages buzz like that cause trans pumps are not smoothe pulses and shift kits that use bigger PR valves seem to aggrivate it IMO. Grind to flats on the PR valve and this helps. Do a search and a pic should come up.

Rev,1,2 will make it do it more as the pump is boosting at idle.

Thanks Steve, but it only started doing this after I added another qt of fluid. I already have the regulating valve with the flats milled in it from Art Carr. Are you then saying this is normal? It sure doesn't sound like it. Thanks

You "may" have an issue but since there is no hearing on the net I can't say for sure. Sounds like you need help from a local.

Get the fluid level right 1st and see what it does. Add enough fluid until it is at the top off the hash marks. If it is slightly above that no big deal. If you still have a noise then something is incorrect.

Well come to find out the level was not up to where it should be. I added enough fluid and the buzzing went away. I just didn't think it took that much fluid. I think I put almost 9 qts in it. It must be from sitting so long more dripped out than I thought. I will post the pressure readings in another post.
