What do think about $2500 to paint car

I just picked up my fillers from the paint guy and they look fantastic..He told me it would cost $2500 to do my whole car,that includes stripping the black out off and windows and trim
the drivers door has a dent which he will fix...this is single stage PPG paint with no clear coat ,,,color is White....

What do you think

no clear???? Sounds a bit pricey ...But then again I have nothing to go buy.. Costing me 600.00 to do mine but all the labor with the exception of the spraying I am doing..

I think 2500 is a good price if they know their stuff. I had mine done and spent just a little more, but that involved me doing a lot of the work..I took off all the trim, painted it (trim) myself, removed the glass, bumpers, bezels, spoiler, mirrors, door locks, handles, all mouldings, grill, etc...that was a lot of work..all said and done about a day taking off and a day or so putting back on.

From talking w/people when researching my repaint...most body people will tell ya..black or white cars are fine for single stage. Mine was shot in single stage ppg...and it came out great IMO.

Hey Jmildolo, what did you spray your trim with? Here is my current stage of my ride.. I am somewhat ignorant to the paint.. Whats up with the no clear? I thought that was a necessity?

Kind of off topic but paint related. Someone told me when i get my Hurst Olds repainted to get the decals put on before the clear coat??? Will this work? Sounds good in theory cause then the wax won't build up in the decal but won't the decals make the clear crack after a while?
