Wow looks like they are still pretty reliable and with the comforts of a more modern car(A/C, Fuel Injectiot?power stuff ) it would make a great summer "Muscle Car" that I could actually use !
Limited could also have bulged hood if it came from the factory in '87 with turbo option. About a 1000 or so did. Still a sleeper none the less and very attractive to me. As you age/ mature, not getting all the attention and flying beneath the radar becomes more important.
If you are going to daily drive a TR, I recommend one gain an intensive knowledge mechanical of these cars and staying proactive on the maintainance side. Wrenching ability is a must too! You'd also want to stock up on wear parts, sensors, MAFs, and parts common only to these cars so that you could keep one going. Best case scenario is to have 2 of these cars so that you can swap and borrow parts from one car to another! I'd still be very cautious about having only a TR for my daily if it depended on having the car running each and every day. Always good to have a beater or other vehicle for those times when it's down or for inclement weather.
