What does tell about the health of my cam?

Working on the engine, used a bore scope to look at cam lobes and find this (about half the lobes have this discoloration).
What does this tell about the health and condition of the cam? The tappets have a very slight concave dish to it (by feeling on fingertip).

In the top pic it appears the lifter is on the ramp of the lobe. If that's the case the lobe looks well worn. Is that the # 3 exhaust or?
