How much HP might I see on a low boost setup. The blower is maxed (small A-trim~5psi) so I coundn't increase boost after the alky. If I used a kit would I want it activated at like 1psi? Would I need to pull fuel out?

Thanks, Scott.

I'm still learning myself but I am installing a alky kit and plan to run about 70/30 alky water. My boost level is low like yours at about 6 or 7 psi (magcharger)The instructs in the kit say that benifits are cut in half if you add the system without tuning.(ie increase timing or boost)One thing for sure is that you can add back in some timing if you had to pull some out when programming for your set up.thats where your power increase may come in.If you cant run anymore boost then a mostly water mix(for cooling) will be of the most benifit cause if your car runs good now you dont need much more fuel just a bit of Alky to increase octane.Even NA cars benifit a little from water/alky so you will probably get something out of it.BTW if your set up isnt intercooled then you will definately get a nice gain.---T

If your car runs at 5 PSI without any knock.. leave it alone.

While there are gains by spraying straight alcohol into the motor under boost, its really minimal.. maybe 15-20 to the wheels without tuning. And not worth the investment.

If your picking up detonation related to octane..have ability to increase boost/timing.. then a kit will be useful.. as it allows you to squeeze the motor harder with limited octane.

KISS.. keep it simple. Dont do things unless there is a reason. Detonation is the reason..
