i think the dealers use to sell them for 85 to 115. the problem is shipping size/cost.

You can pretty much count on it getting damaged if it's shipped, so either sell it locally, or ship it with $20,000 insurance on it.

New Chapter, where in PA are you? I might be interested if you are close enough. I live in northern New Jersey about 30 miles West of the Deleware Water Gap.

I have seen people selling them locally for $125.00. You can probably bloat that price if your not in dire need of selling it. Since they are large and very hard to ship you cant get undercut by someone going to gmpartsdirect.com. They wont even sell them with the reason "Due to size, this item is not available and can not be shipped". Or something along those lines.

i disagree with the statement that says it will get damaged if shipped. I work at Fedex and we get packages of this size all the time. If it is packed correctly it shouldnt be a problem. With something of that shape and size it usually gets stood up in the container against a wall so nothing crushes it, at least thats what i do.

Hey guys. The pads with the silver silk screening are no longer available so you cant go to partsdirect and get the same pad for less. I used to ship these out all of time without problems. Today I would go with FedEx. I never had a problem with the brown truck but they lose things. They should change their name to "the black hole". I have also seen them trading in the $200 range. I hear rumors of several vendors doing up the correct ones. If your'e going for the big bucks, now is the time. They'll be cheap again when the repro's come out.

I have 3) 84-85 NOS ones still int he box but 2 of them have small pieces of the turbo 6 screen printing missing I guess from being in the boxs so long. But 1 is perfect condition..I have 3 NOS 86-87 all with writing.. I was asking 150 for the 86-87 an 200 for the 84-85. Seems I might be low balling myself.. Its crazy what people on Ebay will pay!!! UPS wanted 126.00 to ship dues to oversize package but they can insure for 200 bucks for .85 cents. Go figure. Fed Ex was 85 bucks.. MY problem is people don't want to pay the shipping.. But after this I think I will raise my prices..

Stay away from those UPS Stores. Try to find somebody who has their own shipper number. That is where UPS makes all of their profit from. For example if I go online the hood insulator runs $128 to ship but if I ship it with the parts department shipper number it is about $20-$25. And I think FedEx makes it possible to set up a private account and print your own labels for a lot cheaper too.
