This seems to be a plug at the back of the turbo. But it seems like backyard engineering and appears it may be leaking. Any thoughts on this? Is there a proper cap or plug for this? And what is the purpose?

Thanks guys.

That's the breather port that used to go to the passenger side front of the valve cover. You can by a rubber cap to go ove that so you don't get any unmetered air after the maf sensor!!

Thank you. Its a piece of heater hose with a round wooden plug in it. LOL. Not for long.

A rubber cap will clean that nonsense up.

Some of the stuff I've found over the last couple weeks really make me wonder. Poorly rigged wiring, broken compressor connector, loose bolts all over, this rubber wooden plug thingy ... I guess that's the fun part of buying a 27 year old semi stock muscle car. ;)
