Hey Guys,
I was planning on building a new motor this spring. Well long story short, the bad economy has hit my work and I am now down hours and it doesn't look to promising in the near future. I purchased a Te45a turbo last fall and was planning on running it on the new engine. Right now I have a 19000 mile unopened stocker with just a valve spring upgrade as the only time I even had the covers off it. I talked to Eric (Turbo Tweak)last fall about my goal of mid to low 10's with the new motor and he recommended 79's so I did not run 60's to there limit. My question is can I put the 45a and 79's in my engine I have now and run it at about 22-23 lbs and be ok? I do not want to purchase anything twice. How much of a difference will I notice over the stock turbo at 22-23? I run ALKY and aftermarket 3 inch downpipe and exhaust. I have a Dutt neck cooler, but a PTI stretched is on my list if $$$ holds out. Would this combo get me into the high to mid 11's? I have all the chassis mods already like aluminum trailing arms, bags, shocks, bigger sway bar, ET streets. I have a GNX rear seat brace left to install, but it will be done before this spring.
I will quit babbling and listen now.
