the motor is @ the machine shop, im ordering a gn107 cam from postons. my ? is........ what kind of lifters should i use? dont really want to use the stock ones. the motor will be .10/.10 on the rod journals, stock on mains ( i think), ram chargers mains, arp studs EVERYWHERE, stock sized pistons, heads have comp cams springs, locks, and retainers, 3 angle valve job, and the aformentioned cam, stock intake, blah blah blah. so what kind of lifters should i use?
any info helps.

stock lifters

so it would be ok to use the stock ones, the ones that came out of the motor  , or i should buy a set of new stock lifters?

it's best to wear in cam and lifters together, when both are new, so I would buy new stock lifters.

I believe the Speed Pro(sealed power, federal mogul) HT-969 are the same as GM lifters just a lot cheaper. Use new lifters on a new can, never use old lifters on a new cam.

YES.........NEVER! Glad you asked or your cam would have gone bye-bye...........fast! ;)

Big 10-4 on the seat pressure!!!!!!!

Comp Cams Roller package calls for parts that yields far too much seat pressure - any reason to believe other packages are correct right out of the package ???

Since these engines often eat flat cams - make sure of your pressure AT LEAST on that damn #3exhaust

roller cam!!!!!!!!!!

yea right! i can barely afford the machine shop and semi-basic rebuild, nice to dream though.

As long as you are ok with the standard cam this is true.
If you have a block that likes to eat cams then that is a whole other story.

I had a block that had the lifter bores not machined correclty.
This helps eat cams especially on the number 3.
