What P/N for stock hood shocks??

I have an 86 GN with a stock hood and it will not stay up. What replacement shocks should I buy? Are the aftermarket ones any good? Thanks

I picked up a pair at the local auto parts. They work fine. Not sure how long they'll last but I think they were only about $30.

if you use too heavy of a hood shock your hood will crack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen it 20 times at least

i got some cheapies from Carquest shortly after getting my car in '04.. the hood still stays up on it's own..

I am looking at Rock auto and they have AC DELCO ones for a good price. Are these the right P/N?

Kirban has the correct ones for our cars made from the GM company who made the originals. I just picked up a set at the open house. Work great. I bought a pair from Auto Zone for my other GN and those are like trying to close a rusted open hood on a 70 Caddy!!
