i installed a iol pressure gauge in my gn and am curious what the oil pressure should be, any info would be appreciated

STOCK OIL PRESSURE

On a stock turbo buick it is not uncommon for oil pressure to be as low as 10-20 psi hot, I have seen a few get lower than 10psi at a idle hot, with no signs of internal problems.

yeah it actually was from right when i cranked her up and it stayed at about 65 give or take a couple of psi the whole time even till it warmed up

no i actually havent driven it in a week and a half so i guess that could have affected it, but thats a big difference between 10-20 and 60 that kinda concerns me

oil pressure

If you have not driving the car anywhere since you put a oil pressure on it, i would recommend doing that first. Then see what happens then, we have had cars that we let run for a while at our shop & they appeared to have higher than normal oil pressure until we had driven them for a while. Let us know if that makes a difference. If not feel free to contact us at www.aggressiveauto.com or (586)771-9122

well i let it run for a while and it dropped to about 39psi i guess it would drop down lower, i just didnt wanna let it run to long becuase my fan doesnt work so i dont want it to over heat, and i really appreciate the help your giving me

No problem! it sounds like you just need to drive it for a while, when you fix your cooling issues. Good luck

Mine will idle at about 60-70 lbs when cold then drop to 20-24 when she gets warmed up. Thats with 29000 miles on it

I've had em run as little as 15psi and another that ran as much as 80psi.. My opinion, nothing wrong with 50-60.. I'd feel more comfortable with that than 10-15psi..
