I am building a LUV truck with a 4.1 and I am thinking of using the pt70gtq on it(race only). What stall should I use on the converter to get it to spool quick?Trans will be a th350.

If its race only why would you need quick spool. Put at least a 3800 stall in.

I don't want to sit at the line for 10 minutes trying to get it spooled up on a pro tree. That is why I want a fast spoolup. Thanks for the info.

Yes it is!Check out the combo I'm working on,
4.1 .030 over
JE pistons
218/218 comp cam
GN1 heads
T&D rollers
Champion ported intake
70 mm tb& plenum
83# inj.
ME-R
ported stock headers
PT70GTQ
PTE front mount
ford 9" w/3.50 gears
28x10.50 slicks
that is it so far any other suggestions?

Why would you ask for help/info and then dis-regard it?

A 4.1 with a PT70gtq is NOT going to 60' with a 2500 converter. I just changed a converter in a GN to a 3800 and a BB70 turbo and it is doing 1.4 60' times. Did a 4.1 a while back with a 38-4000 stall and it got 1.4's also.

There is no exact way to pick a converter, it is trial and error. Based upon your build, and the cars I have messed with, a 3800 stall would be a good starting point.

LOL.No Nick,he asked how much will it weigh and I am going to keep the weight at 2500 pounds.Sorry for the misunderstanding.LOLOLOLOLOL!

Too funny. I thought the same thing and was without words the entire day. Now there is a first.

:D :D :D
