I know a lot of you are running higher stalls when you put an aftermarket turbo on. Well, i have the ta33, but this one has had a te61 center section put in it when it was rebuilt. So , I dont know if that constitutes a bigger stall since it is technically a bigger center section. Please let you know what you guys think.

Oh yeah, what should I run anyways? Something with a 3k to 3200 stall?

stock cam?

If it is stock you can get away with a 2800-3000 i would think.

If you have an after market cam I would go at least 3000 to keep the cam in its powerband.

Yeah, its a stock cam for now. So by the te61 center section being in a hot air housing, that doesnt hurt it in performace areas? Also doesnt decrease the amount of stall needed?

One more thing, if I got a 3000 stall, I would be good for now with the stock cam, AND later when I get an aftermarket cam?

U should be. With a te44 Iwas doing 8 psi launnches with the stock d5.
But thats is with an 87.

Why did you go with a 60 series wheel. Thats big for hot air. You gotta be pumping in more alky than a room full of drunks!

Hahahahaha, i didnt. I got it from a guy on here that is close to me. He bought a used te61, sent that and his old turbo in, had it rebuilt and had the te61 center section put in the hot air housing. Just got a good deal on it. He on put 50 miles on it, and I beleive him. I thought it was brand new. Got that turbo, ported intake, 92 thrasher chip, and 36lb blue tops for 750.

Good Deal. I would inject alky like its nobodys business in that engine. Get the boost up over 15 psi :D

Would I really need that much alky to get it up to 15psi? What would you expect out of this turbo, power gains I mean.

It is ganna take a good amont of alky to keep kr down without haveing an inercooler (unless you have one). If you do have one you can run 15 without it.

Power gain wise, you wont really see much till at least 15 psi probably, but I am not a turbo expert, expesialy the way that one is set up.
