My car seems to slip into 3rd softly ,,maybe that is called flaring???,i dont kow but I would like to install the best shift kit out there...and see what that does.the car has 40kmiles all original, I have changed the fluid in the last 10k mile about 3 times do you think there could be a problem with the filter not being installed properly,,thought I read that before..the morons at the trans place 2 yrs ago did the fluid and I suspect maybe there is an extra o-ring stuck causing a problem since everyone has gone 100k miles on the stock tranny ..
I drive it hard but never have I built boost at the line ,,just mash it and goo,,I do keep it 1qt high for that slushing effect

Thanks for any info

The symptom you described is most often caused by pump cavitation. This happens at wot when the filter literally runs out of fluid to pick-up from this tranny's limited sump. The cheap, but effictive fix is to run the fliud level 1/2 to 1 qt. past "full". Or you could install redesigned aftermarket pan with a rear pick-up filter sold by myself & other transmission vendors on this board. We also all sell shift improver kits with slight variations but all accomplish the same improvments to the same degree. However, "shift kits" are not shift repair kits, so don't expect any of them to be a "cure all'' to an improper operating tranny. Get your problem isolated & addressed, then go for the enhancments!
Hopefully the extra fluid thing may help your problem. Try that first! Good luck!
