it's pretty easy to make a different number show up on caller id... google it.. i can call you and make it look like someone else is calling with minimal effort.

It's also possible to redirect all incoming calls back to the origin carrier and when they bounce they will come from the actual number.

I started getting a call from a certain number 2 or 3 times a week on the cell phone, they never leave a message and if I don't recognize the number I don't answer. So, I added the number to contacts and checked the option of "Direct to voicemail".

My phone has a "reject call" built into it Russ. Kinda like a "favorites" on a puter, but in reverse.

Charlie, tell me more about that phone. Is it on a land line? Do the calls always go to reject once entered?

BTW, the no-call list is a joke! We're signed up (and renew at least once a year) and still get 10 -20 per day...

It's my cell Russ. It's an old samsung and has it built in. Once I add the number to the list I never get a ring out of them again.

Dang, the wife likes her land line and I don't like phones at all, though if it was up to me, we'd both have cells and no land line. Guess I'll keep digging around for an inline blocker of some type. Thanks, bud!
