Hey guys im wondering what is the biggest slick you can run on the buicks? Tried running last night with 26x11.5's but the driver side rubbed like crazy! Also how big is the stock 86/87 wheel is it an 8 inch?

Thanks.

generally a 10.5" x 28" usually fits but so does a 28" x 9" and might work on stock rims.

28x10.5-15's with air bags and/or rolled fenders. If not, stick with a 9" slick. If your not running real fast, I would also stay with a 26" tall tire.

Thanks for the replies. Seems my problem was running an 11.5 tire. The cars not that fast if you check out the signature ill be lucky to run mid 13's.. Well with 22lbs of boost maybe mid 13's;)

Yes, the 10.5"x28" worked on Centerlines 15x8 with 4" back space but may need the fender lip rolled or trimmed.

The 28x9 worked on a stock turbo T rim but may have ran a small spacer.

Well i think im going to bring it down to 20lbs to stay just a tad safer.hopefully with a hookup it will still get me high 12's.. I just figured with the small amount of mods mostly being a TTchip, alky, and dump for power i wouldnt see 12's yet but who knows.

Alky is where its at! Thats not a small mod in my mind! Get a scanmaster and let it rip! Do you have a TT chip for Alky??

I have a scanmaster. All the mods are in my signature. I dont have the alky chip but i can adjust the timing on the street chip for better results with alky. I think eric said the alky chip just has more timing.

Eyup, I think Eric's alky chip timing is base 23/21--for 92-3 octane+CH3(OH). If you're only using 91, then you should be safe w/ say 22/20 timing & no sweat w/ 22#boost...Get some meats on it & let-er-rip!

with the alky you could do so much!! i ran mid elevens on alky with a pt-54 and unported heads... bigger injectors help out too... i ran about 28PSI...

Im running 93 so the timing will be 23 1st and 2nd, and 21 3rd and 4th. Correct?
