What to do??

Just got a 87 GN with a few mods (supposed to run around 11.8) Anyway the previous owner who lived in Indiana where you can buy "race" gas said that if I run regular premium pump gas (93 octane) i shouldnt drive the car as hard but if I can get race gas or an Alky kit then it will do just fine. I am somewhat confused as to why I cant run it as hard on 93 than the higher octane he was using. So I decided to go with a Alky kit but I am unsure as to what kit to use, SMC or RAZOR?? Which and why. Also any tips or tricks concerning alky kits please fill me in.

There are some great guys in STL that you should meet up with. Aaron runs ALKYCONTROL and he is a smart man. They can help you in the right direction and show you there cars.

The computer chip probably is setup for racegas or alky, the racegas will keep it from detonation issues where as the 93 octane just doesnt have enough octane to keep the heads from blowing off.

If it was my car, i would varify what computer chip is in the car, find out how much timing is in the car, and lower the boost too keep from hurting the engine.

Razors kit is the only one i would purchase in the future because it works the best and he knows his stuff.. His kit is badd to the bone.
